County Government Status Report

The County Governance Status Report (CGSR) is a research study undertaken to assesses the status of governance in the counties particularly on indicators that speak to transparency, accountability, integrity and service delivery within the counties. The assessment focuses on the potential for, existence or extent to which the county government systems that would pose a challenge to transparency, accountability, integrity and service delivery. The CGSR was first carried out in 2016 where a report detailing the findings and recommendations was published and launched. In 2019, an update of the CGSR study was done with an aim of measuring the progress or lack thereof of county government systems in place that promote the levels of transparency, accountability, integrity and service delivery within the counties. The statistics detailing the findings of both reports are presented in this portal.
